JOHOR BARU: Five Singaporean advanced technology companies are among a number of foreign firms that are keen to set up their operations in Nusajaya.
UEM Land Sdn Bhd managing director Wan Abdullah Wan Ibrahim, who did not disclose their identities, said the company was about to sign the agreements with the five firms''.
Investors from France have also expressed interest in developing a factory here while a German company involved in advance technology was also keen, he said, adding that there were enquiries from Middle East investors as well.
He said not all the Singaporean investors were interested in buying land in the 528.92ha Southern Industrial and Logistic Clusters (SILC). They are instead asking us to build the factories to their specifications and then go on a long-term lease, he said.
The SILC is among seven signature development projects to be developed in Nusajaya.
Abdullah also welcomed Singapore-based developers to form strategic partnerships with UEM Land to develop projects in Nusajaya.
Nusajaya is not only the countrys largest real estate development project but also the regions, he said.
